Kidderminster Harriers Supporters Team

The Harriers supporters team set off for Guiseley via Halifax at 7am in the knowledge that both planned games were in doubt due to the cold weather. We were in good spirits though and with a squad of 15 players hopeful of our first away victory of the season. Upon arrival in Halifax it was evident that ice skates were more appropriate than football boots but full credit to both teams who decided that the game would be played despite the artic conditions.
It was a game of two halves and it was a more closely fought game than the scoreline suggests. The first half was a tale of the two Dave's with Pountney providing three assists to scorer Greaves to grab a first half hatrick. The KHIST supporters side played some fine passing football despite the conditions and were deserving of a three goal half time lead.

The second half however was a different story and following a few team changes Halifax came back into the game with two goals and at this point the game could have gone either way. Dave Ackers in goal kept Halifax out with some good handling but the Harriers then broke away to earn a penalty which Ben Grazier expertly converted to calm the nerves. An own goal (sorry chris) gave the scoreline a flattering look and the Harriers a 5-2 victory. It was another win then for the fans team against AFC Halifax who are top of the IFA supporters league containing 78 teams and another good team performance.

We then travelled onto Guiseley suprised that the game was being played as the Halifax FA Trophy game had already been called off. To our dissapointment though we arrived at the ground at 2pm to find that the game had just been called off!! With no other local games on it was back to the pub for a few drinks before travelling home having at least being involved in one game.
