CHESTER CITY 6 HARRIERS FANS TEAM 1
Saturday 3rd September 2011 |
The fans team were brought back down to earth in Chester in what was a wake-up call for the team. Although understrength Harriers put in a poor performance.
Sam Flory left his man after thinking he heard a shout from Ackers for their forward to comfortably head home from a few yards out to give Chester the lead. The Harriers defence then stopped waiting for an offside flag to allow Chester to go 2-0 up, then a mix-up between Ollie Sewell and Ackers made it 3-0 at the break.
Harriers improved after the break but more individual errors allowed Chester to go 4-0 ahead. Steve Bird pulled off back and Ben Grazier hit the post, but those were Kiddy's only highlights and more poor defending allowed Chester to score two more goals before the end in what was a bad day for the fans team in which nobody really asserted themselves collectively or individually.
